Showcase Sunday (7)

Showcase Sunday is a weekly event hosted by Vicky at Books, Biscuits and Tea.

Hi everyone!

I didn't do a SS post last week and I missed visiting you all and finding out what you'll be reading. I'm looking forward to it today.
Here are my new books:

... and since I gave away my last copy of Chime before reading it, I had to get a new one.

...and because my friend Catie said so...

On audio:

Thank you to the amazing people at AudioGo for these lovelies.

    1. Oh, Mel, I finished Outpost just now and it's my favorite 2012 book by far. The only one that comes even close is Unravel Me by Tahereh Mafi. But still, Outpost is better.

  4. I've yet to listen to an audio book. I feel like my mind would wander, but I keep meaning to get around to giving it a go. It would be great to still be reading, kind of, while I'm doing my housework :)

I hadn't heard of Chime before, it sounds good. Hope you enjoy all your books, I'll be watching for your reviews.

  14. I wasn't sure about The Curiosities before, but now that I've read The Blood Keeper and just finished The Raven Boys, I'm definitely eager to read it.

  15. CHIME! I loveeeed that book, Maja, so I really hope you enjoy it! It seems to be a hit-or-miss with a lot of people, but hopefully that won't be the case with you! *fingers crossed* I've heard a lot about Ann Aguirre, so I need to pick up Enclave soon, not to mention Anna Dressed in Blood, Every Day, and TIGANA are all on my TBR-Shelves too. ESPECIALLY Tigana as I've heard it's such an epic fantasy! Enjoy all your new books, dear!

  16. Ahh I've heard so many mixed things about CHIME, but I'm still really interested in that book! EVERY DAY. <3 <3 <3 So much love for that one, especially on audio! Great haul this week, happy reading!

  17. Hahaha, friend, I totally need to pick up Tigana purely because Catie said so as well. Also, I'm really excited to hear what you think about Chime. I never did review it (it was like the last book I read before I started blogging), but I loved it.

Fair warning though, I listened to Anna Dressed in Blood and thought the audio was pretty terrible. The story was good enough that I did listen to the whole thing, but I really disliked the narrator. I hope you fair better!

  18. Oooh look at you and all the pretty books. :) I might have to check out Tigana too, it looks very interesting. Haven't talked to you in forever Maja! I hope everything is going wonderful for you.

  19. Great haul this week! (Well, of course I'm going to say that since you went and got Tigana. Woohoo!) I finished TMaM, btw - so brilliant. I wish I could read it in Russian. I can completely see why that's your favorite book. It has such a Maja sense of humor.

So cool that you're doing more audios! I've heard so-so things about the Anna narrator, so I'll be interested to see what you think!

  20. Outpost is your favourite book of 2012? I must read it soon... but I don't want to! There are only so many cliffhanger endings I can take before I lose it. I've decided to put Enshadowed on hold for the time being too because of that. What to do? :D

I'm looking forward to seeing what you think of some of these. Great haul this week, Maja!

  21. Nice batch. I really want to read Every Day. I just love unique premises. I'm quite curious.

  22. The Curiosities is something I want to get my hands on. Every Day sounds intriguing but I'm afraid of how it'll end. Nice haul Maja. :)

  23. What a great books! I can tell you that Timeless is a great book. I read it a few months ago. And I really like this serie.

And thanks again for these books. I think that they come this week with the mail. I will let you know when I got them. Thank you so much.

  26. All those books look great! Especially Outpost, which I know you loved and Every Day. David Levithan is something of a legend on Goodreads. I hope you enjoy, Maja. :) And congrats to the winners
