Hello, my dear book lovers!
Welcome to the new and improved Nocturnal Library. I am beyond thrilled with the new design, and I hope you will be too.
Back when I started blogging, there were two things I wanted most of all, and no, they weren't arcs (double-edged sword, those). I wanted an interview with Ann Aguirre (done!) and I wanted a Parajunkee blog design (now done!). It would seem that I'm in need of some new major goals here, which scares me a little bit.
Here's what I can tell you about this entire process: I always have trouble visualizing things and I went into this not knowing exactly what I wanted and not knowing how to explain the things I knew I wanted. I was very vague at best, and it must have been hard to figure me out, but Rachel somehow knew what I was talking about even when I didn't. She is quick, professional, a great listener and full of fantastic ideas. Oh, and I forgot insanely talented! Also, there's no one like a book blogger to understand the needs of another book blogger.
If you already have TNL button on your blog, a) you're awesome and b) please be so kind as to replace it with the new one. It's so much prettier. :)
I can't wait to hear what you guys think. A huge thank you to Rachel for being quick (I am ever impatient!), kind and so very awesome. Blogging will be even more fun from now on.

HOLY CRAP! Maja, the blog looks beautiful! Rachel truly is such a talented designer and I loveee the new look! :D I just spent a good two minutes scrolling up and down and staring at your header and new blog button!(; I loved your old look as well, but the new one is definitely much more sophisticated. I'm thrilled that you were able to find someone who knew exactly what you wanted and I'm so excited for you! :) If I didn't visit the Nocturnal Library enough, the new blog design will definitely ensure I will! ;)

ReplyDeleteWow! This new design is gorgeous! It still looks "nocturnal", but much more stylish... I know it's a small detail, but I specially love the social buttons inside the shields!

ReplyDeleteOh my god, Maja, your blog is utterly exquisite! It is so elegant and opulent and refined. And I love how it still has a 'dark' feel to it, yet it's so much more graceful and professional-looking. I think I may consider requesting a blog banner and button from Parajunkee now myself. :)

ReplyDeleteMaja, I love the new look! It captures the essence of the last one but looks so much better (not that I didn't like the old design - I liked that one too!). The blog buttons look especially great. I hope you're happy with your wonderful new design. :)
