Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine. It spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.
Title: Sinner
The Wolves of Mercy Falls, #4
Release: July 1st 2014
Publisher: Scholastic
Format: Hardcover, 432 pages
Pre-order: The Book Depository
A standalone companion book to the internationally bestselling Shiver Trilogy.Sinner follows Cole St. Clair, a pivotal character from the #1 New York Times bestselling Shiver Trilogy. Everybody thinks they know Cole's story. Stardom. Addiction. Downfall. Disappearance. But only a few people know Cole's darkest secret -- his ability to shift into a wolf. One of these people is Isabel. At one point, they may have even loved each other. But that feels like a lifetime ago. Now Cole is back. Back in the spotlight. Back in the danger zone. Back in Isabel's life. Can this sinner be saved?
I really should learn to trust Maggie Stiefvater. She has never failed me, not once, and yet when I fist heard about this book, I was, above all, terrified that she would ruin something that was, in my eyes, perfect. The Shiver trilogy is my comfort read, a source of beauty when I most need it. I hope Sinner will become the same.
What are you excited about this week? Leave me a link and I'll be right there.
I haven't read anything by this author (not even going to attempt the spelling of the last name) but I need to change that. I have had The Scorpio Races on my shelf forever! I hope you love this one just as much as you have all of her other work, Maja!
ReplyDeleteOF COURSE I am absolutely crazy full of wanting for this book! I adore the Wolves of Mercy Falls and Cole? Love. Him. I can't wait for more closure on his love story - can't wait! :D
ReplyDeleteI haven't read this series yet. I think I tried once but werewolves is not my thing.

I haven't read the Shiver series yet, nor The Scorpio Races, and I know I really should given how much I love the Raven Boys series!
ReplyDeleteOh, yeah. Definitely WoWing this one. I didn't finish the first series (read the first 2 books but not the 3rd), I really liked Cole.
ReplyDeleteI read the first book in the series and really loved it. I need to re-read it and finish this series, Maja.
ReplyDeleteI'm very curious about Cole.
Lovely pick, Maja!
I never made it past the first book in this series for some reason. I had no idea she was writing a fourth! Maybe I should go back and reread the first book and try this series again.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, this was one series I just couldn't get into Maja! Though I tried it a long time ago back before I started the blog, so I'm wondering if I gave it another try now I'd have a different reaction. I adore Maggie Stiefvater and have loved her other books, so I'm thinking it might be time to re-read these:) Hope this ends up being everything you want it to be my friend!
ReplyDeleteYES! I'm super curious to see where she takes Cole and Isabel. I'm also really hoping for a cameo of Sam and Grace somewhere in those pages. I've got this one on pre-order. :)
ReplyDeleteI only read two books in one of her other series but not this one, I didn't even know we were already at book 4...
ReplyDeleteI didn't know she wrote a 4th. I prb won't continue though the last wasnt my thing, but I def hope you get to read it soon and love it
ReplyDeleteI am very intrigued by this. I ADORE Maggie's books, but I find it strange that they call it book #4 when it's a standalone. Oh well, in any case it's on my list!! Great choice.
ReplyDeleteHere's my WOW.
I'm so nervous for this one, Maja! I loved the trilogy so much that I'm really quite scared. lol I'm sure I should have faith but we'll see. Great pick. :)
