In My Mailbox #1

Finally our little Nocturnal Library got one installed too!

Thanks to Kristi @ The Story Siren for hosting this exciting feature.

We hope to get enough books in our mailbox to have a post each week!

But let's go see what Maja got this week in her mailbox:

“This week, I had some delicious urban fantasy titles waiting in my mailbox. Faith Hunter’s Jane Yellowrock series is one of my favorites, although many of my friends dislike it. I find the unpredictability of dark urban fantasy refreshing at times. Her new book, Raven Cursed, was just released and I’ve already started reading it. After all, one of my biggest fictional crushes is in it (I’m talking about George, NOT Rick). Aside from that, I have books 2 and 3 of the Iron Druid Chronicles. Book 1, Hounded, really swept me off my feet and I’m thrilled that I’ll get a chance to hang out with Atticus and Oberon some more.”

Enough urban fantasy for one week? :D
I, on the other hand, have won these books:

I have to thank Chayse @ Book Reaper for The Survival Kit by Donna Freitas. I've heard so many good things about this book I can't wait to read it.

For Solace of the Road and Psych Major Syndrome I have to thank author HelenKay Dimon who sent me an Amazon gift certicate and let me choose any book I wanted, together with a copy of her anthology.

Actually, I won this gift certificate by participating in Ann Aguirre's Big Honkin' Holiday Contest.

Ann Aguirre, author both Maja and I love sent me this:

Sorry for the poor quality picture, but you saw correctly: I won a NOOK!!!

Thanks to Ann Aguirre for this fantastic chance, you'll always hold a special place in our hearts - and just you wait until Maja publishes her review of Ann's latest!

That's all folks, see you next week!

Love,

Lisa and Maja

  6. Maja,

Thanks for the wonderful comment on my review of Angelfall!

As for a blog button, I have someone I asked to work on one for me (I have NO idea how to make that stuff!) so eventually I should have one.

Unless you are volunteering to make me one? *winks*

Yay for urban fantasy. I have to try the Iron Druid Chronicles, I heard they're similar to the Harry Dresden files, which I like.
